Frankfurt, December 2024 – EuroWindoor, European Aluminium and EPPA have launched a social media campaign to spotlight the findings of the Fraunhofer Institute for Building Physics IBP study on the crucial role of windows in achieving the EU’s climate targets. The campaign will run over the coming months on platforms like LinkedIn, sharing key insights through infographics.
The first post highlights that buildings account for 43% of Europe’s final energy consumption and stresses the importance of renovation. Energy-efficient windows play a vital role in reducing energy use, cutting costs and supporting urban sustainability.
The second post reveals that 63.5% of energy consumption in buildings is due to heating alone. It emphasizes that energy-efficient windows reduce heating bills and also make a big impact on sustainability.
The campaign calls on EU and national decision-makers to support investments in energy-efficient windows to improve energy efficiency and to counteract climate change.
